One of Turtleford's claim to fame is in the chuck wagon racing world - Dale Gray. His 27-year career includes 5 World Champion Outrider titles with the World Professional Chuchwagon Racing Association, won the oldest outrider for the first time in 1998. His accomplishments are with both the Professional Chuchwagon Association and the WPCA.

Another exciting feature to our area is the Mapleridge Gallery, by Artisan Bonny Macnab. Bonny's work is western themed and her favourite media are pencil, colored charcoals and watercolors. Her work is enjoyed throughout North America, England, Ireland, Mexico, and Australia to name a few. To her credit she has numerous commissioned pieces, murals and greeting card packages in both color and black and white. Her gallery is located southeast of Turtleford.
